The Southeast Iowa Regional Fire Honor Guard was established on February 14th, 2007 to serve the fire departments of the Tri-State area. The Honor Guard is an apolitical entity, serving any fire department which requests its services, with no regard to career or volunteer status. Members receive no monetary reward. Their payment comes in the privilege of serving their fellow firefighters, and the knowledge that they have the discipline, drive, determination, and dedication to become the best of the best.

The mission of the Southeast Iowa Region Fire Honor Guard is to provide education to prevent line-of-duty deaths, provide Fire Department honors to the area's fallen firefighters, and to educate the public in proper flag protocol.
